TUMAINI SECONDARY SCHOOL
Even as a young school we are proud that we have excelled in both curricula and extra curricula activities in our county, Makueni. Many of our graduands are pursuing degrees and diplomas in higher institutions of learning here in Kenya.
Our Location
Tumaini Secondary school is located approximately 80 Kilometres south of Nairobi city along the Nairobi Mombasa highway. The school is 2kms off the highway and next to the Kenya pipeline pump station number 8 at Konza. A few kilometres North of the school stands the newly Government proposed “silicon Savannah City” {Konza Techno City} at Malili. Our location provides a serene and perfect environment for education. We enjoy warm weather of a moderate humidity and temperatures ranging between 20 to 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
Our History
Tumaini Secondary school started in December 2008. The launch of the school was presided over by the FOUSA president Dr. Daniel Meyer. In January the following year the first batch of students were admitted. In 2012 this first group of 25 students graduated after successfully completing the four-year course. Year after year the number of students has been increasing.

We are proud that our school has consistently grown not only infrastructure wise but also in both curricular and extracurricular activities. This is evidenced through exemplary K.C.S.E national examination results and sports trophies won by our students
Our zeal for excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities is founded in our mission and vision of our school. We work with passion and compassion to meet the educational needs of children that parents have placed under our care. Wherever those students may come from and whatever backgrounds they may have been raised from, ours is to instil a winning spirit into their minds. .
A good educational institution is one that helps the overall development of a child -- mind, body and character. To achieve this goal, we provide a wide array of programmes and activities so that each student can seize the opportunities afforded him/her. We are equally committed to transforming each student entering our doors to become the best of the upper echelon of society. We aspire to continue creating responsible citizens who have a zest for life and learning.
Our staffs are well qualified and are dedicated to working in partnership with families and the broader community to provide a quality education for all our students. The school has a unique atmosphere where individual growth and learning is fostered in a supportive learning environment. The relationships between students and between students and staff are friendly and encouraging, celebrating successes and supporting personal achievement.
